Hotel Lobby AI Doesn’t Look Like Me? 7 Causes, 7 Fixes

When a Hotel Lobby AI video does not look like you, the photo is the usual cause: a small, turned, backlit or filtered face, or a head shot that leaves the model to invent your body and clothes. Next come costume pieces from the reference performers, and the two sides being the wrong way round. Each has a fix below, and a 3-credit, 5-second test lets you check it before paying for a long one.

On Hotel Lobby Video (rapaivideo.net) each photo is first redrawn as a full-length studio portrait of the same person, and the video is made from that; you only ever see your original. So the video can only be as close to you as the photo you start from.

About the costume pieces

The video copies its moves from a reference clip of two performers in the orange booth. Some results picked up pieces of their costumes, so on 17 October 2026 we changed two things: the prompt now names those costumes and tells the model to leave them out, and the 16:9 and 4:3 videos follow a new clip of two people in ordinary clothes. The vertical 9:16, 3:4 and 1:1 videos still follow the earlier clip, and we have not made a paid test of the change on this site, so if costume pieces show up in a vertical video, try 16:9.

Results also vary from one render to the next, even with the same photos. If a problem comes back on a second try, send the video through Support; that is how these cases get fixed.

Test cheaply, then make the long one

  1. Make a 5-second test at 480p: 3 credits, against 6 for 12 seconds.
  2. Check the face, the clothes and the sides.
  3. If they look right, make the longer or sharper one with the same photos.

A failed render is refunded on its own; a finished one you do not like is not, which is why the test is worth it. There is no free preview.

What happens to your photos

Your photos and the portraits drawn from them are deleted 7 days after the render finishes, and they are not used to train AI models; the privacy policy has the details.

FAQ

Why does my Hotel Lobby AI video not look like me?

Usually the photo: a small, turned, backlit or filtered face, or a head shot. Use an unfiltered, front-facing photo from the waist up.

Why is there a blindfold or a robe in my video?

The model copied pieces of the reference performers’ costumes. Make it again; in a vertical video try 16:9, and tell Support if it comes back.

Why is the wrong person rapping?

The left photo raps and the right photo hypes. Swap them, or use Hand the mic to the other one after the render.

Do I get my credits back if I do not like the result?

Failed renders are refunded automatically. A finished render is charged, so test with 5 seconds at 480p first.

Can I use a screenshot of myself?

An original from your camera roll works better. Screenshots and photos sent through chat apps are often compressed and soft.
